Light snow on and off through Saturday -Haddie
Alert Days are in the forecast for the rest of the week with on and off snow showers in the forecast. In addition, areas of fog may develop and reduce visibility as temperatures climb above freezing during the afternoon.
Light snow will continue Thursday with light accumulations by the end of the day. There may be a break in the snow showers through Thursday evening, but snow will return overnight. Accumulations by Friday morning will be less than 2″ in most locations.
On Friday, temperatures will climb into the middle 30s during the afternoon. There is a chance for some rain to mix with the snow, mainly south of Madison. Snow chances will continue Friday night into Saturday. As the storm system moves to the east on Saturday, snow will taper to flurries and come to an end. Total additional accumulation will likely be 2-6″ for most areas. Any change in the track of the storm will impact snow totals in southern Wisconsin.
Behind this storm system, temperatures will remain mild. Highs will be in the 30s through next week. The next storm to watch is expected to arrive late next Tuesday or Wednesday.
