CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. — The Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Co. is releasing three new beers with a splash of seltzer Wednesday.

The new line of beers is called Leinenkugel’s Spritzen, the first national release in three years for the company, a release says. There are three flavors of Spritzen: grapefruite, raspberry lemon and pineapple strawberry.

Each Leinenkugel’s Spritzen has 93 calories, no sugar and no artificial ingredients.

“Spritzen is the refreshing intersection between beer’s timeless taste and the modern rise of seltzers,” says Katie Leinenkugel, the brand strategy and engagement lead for the company. “We know that drinkers enjoy seltzer’s better-for-you qualities but miss the taste of beer, and Spritzen is the perfect option to fill that need.”

Spritzen will be available this week in a 12-pack of all flavors, a six-pack with raspberry lemon and pineapple strawberry and a six-pack with grapefruit.

Dick Leinenkugel, the president of the company says, “For those who love our Shandies, these beers are direct descendants with a lighter, and even more refreshing spin.”
