LaVera C. Page
LaVera C. Page passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 25, 2017 with family by her side at Maplewood of Sauk Prairie. The daughter of Florian and Esther (Mallon) Raschein, she was born on November 21, 1922 in Baraboo. She was united in marriage to Edward R. Page on December 26, 1964. LaVera enjoyed quilting with the ladies of St. John’s Lutheran Church as well making quilts for friends and family. She also enjoyed fishing for blue gills, playing Euchre, baking for the family and gardening.
LaVera is survived by son, Rodney (Beverly) Mielke, and daughters Gloria (Richard) Foye and Bonnie (Curt) Bailey; Grandchildren, Pamela (Gregg) Beuthin, Angela Lewis, Wayne Foye, Jeremy Loether, Joshua (Kellie) Meyer, Tyler (Teyanna) Loether and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sister, Lucinda Gruber.
LaVera was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters, Verona (Bruno) Slotty and Dorothy (Donald) Hanusa, and great-grandson Evan Lewis.
A Funeral service will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Prairie du Sac on Tuesday, March 28 at 11:00 am with Pastor Fred Rilling officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00 am on Tuesday at the church. A private graveside service will be held following the service.
LaVera’s family would like to thank the staff of Maplewood of Sauk Prairie for the loving and supportive care she received during her time there.
