Last visit home? Bart and Cherry Starr end what may be final trip to Green Bay
GREEN BAY, Wis. — Bart Starr and his wife, Cherry, announced that this weekend’s visit to Lambeau Field might be their last trip to the home of the Green Bay Packers, according to TMJ4.
Starr was a quarterback for the Packers for 16 years, from 1956 to 1971. He was a coach of the franchise from 1975 to 1983. He and his wife held a news conference in which they announced numerous gifts to the Packers Hall of Fame, including his Super Bowl II championship ring, TMJ4 reported.
At the news conference, Cherry Starr said this would be the last trip for Bart whose medical conditions include numerous strokes and a heart attack, according to TMJ4.
