Lake Mills new PD K-9 to be named in honor of Capt. Chris Truman
LAKE MILLS, Wis. — Lake Mills police will be starting a K-9 program and naming their first dog after Lake Mills Fire Capt. Chris Truman, who was killed in a crash on New Year’s Eve.
Lake Mills Police Department officials announced Monday morning that they will be starting the K-9 program and that they are in the early stages of fundraising to bring a drug and search dog to the community.
“Our kickoff photo is Chief Selck’s son Ethan posing with a Beaver Dam K-9 at Watertown Police Department’s Lights and Sirens event in 2007,” according to a Facebook post.
Anyone who wants to donate to the K-9 program can contact Selck at 920-648-2354. Money is also being raised at the Lake Mills Market.
