Lake Geneva driver found unresponsive in ditch faces 4th OWI
LAPRAIRIE TOWNSHIP, Wis. — A Lake Geneva man who was found Tuesday night in a vehicle stuck in a ditch after a suspected opioid overdose faces operating while intoxicated charges, police said.
Rock County sheriff’s deputies and Janesville emergency crews responded around 9:45 p.m. to the area of East Avalon Road and South County Road J in LaPrairie Township for reports of a possible drug overdose, according to a release.
Deputies found a vehicle stuck in the west ditch of South County Road J and the driver, 46-year-old Arnie Conley, unresponsive.
Deputies conducted life-saving measures until EMS crews arrived, according to the release. Conley was later taken to St. Mary Hospital.
Conley faces a tentative charge of fourth-offense operating while intoxicated. He was also issued a traffic citation for open intoxicants.
