Kristi L. Fry

MADISON-Kristi L. Fry, age 63, of Fond du Lac, passed away on Friday, Nov. 7, 2014, at Heritage Monona in Madison, after a two year struggle with brain cancer.

She was born on Dec. 7, 1950, at Methodist Hospital in Madison, to Charles and Geraldine (Holmes) Fry. Kristi was raised in Madison and Verona along with her older sister, Parnee and younger brother, Bradley.

She graduated from Verona High School in 1968. Kristi then attended Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo, Mich., where she majored in French, and was an All-Conference member of the field hockey team. After graduation in 1972, Kristi worked for Cuna Mutual until being admitted to the University of Wisconsin Law School. While there she was an editor of the law review and graduated in 1982 with the Order of the Coif. She had her first job as an attorney in Delavan, Wis., but eventually settled in Fond du Lac where she worked at several firms and businesses before opening her own law office. Kristi enjoyed golf, traveling, the Packers and Badgers, as well as her house on the shore of Lake Winnebago. She enjoyed her time with a wide network of friends and family where her wry wit and laughter was always appreciated.

Kristi is survived by her sister, Parnee Dahlk of Madison, her brother, Bradley (Kay) Fry; niece, Lauren Fry; and nephew, William Fry, all of Brentwood Tenn.; special cousins, Todd White, Jill Cerniglia and family, Barb White and family and Skeeter Moen and family; as well as many other close cousins and their children. She was preceded in death by her parents; and dear cousin, Geraldine (Ellis) White of San Diego, Calif.

A memorial service is planned for a future date in Fond du Lac. Memorials may be made to the American Brain Tumor Association. The family would like to thank Anita and Andy Vissers, Mary and Jane Kraus, Nettie and Bob Thelen and the staff at the Sterling House in Fond du Lac for all the wonderful care they provided.
