Kenneth E. Taylor
JANESVILLE— Kenneth E. Taylor, age 82, of Janesville, died on Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at Clement J. Zablocki V.A. Medical Center, Milwaukee.
He was born in Vandalia, IL on Aug. 27, 1931, the son of Arthur and Irene (Ward) Taylor. He served in the U.S. Navy from Oct. 9, 1950 to Aug. 6, 1954, and was stationed in Pensacola, FL. Kenneth graduated from Vandalia High School and Eastern Illinois University in 1957 with a degree in accounting. He married JoAnn Elwood in Peoria, IL on Aug. 14, 1955, and she preceded him in death on March 9, 2010. He worked as an accountant for Wayne Feeds, and later as a purchasing agent for Freedom Plastics. Kenneth was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 95 in Vandalia, and a long-term member of the Vandalia Moose Club. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan, enjoyed playing golf, and euchre and was an occasional casino visitor.
He is survived by his daughter, Susan (James) Pendleton of Madison; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; 3 children: Scott, Stephen and Stacey; sister, Elsie Freeman Park; and 3 brothers: Don Blair, Arthur Taylor, Jr. and Robert Taylor.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2014, at MILTON LAWNS MEMORIAL PARK CHAPEL from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park.
