Kenneth C. Fay
DEFOREST Kenneth C. Fay, age 81, passed away on Friday, August 31, 2012 at Agrace HospiceCare. Ken was born to Clarence and Pearl Fay on August 1, 1931 in Kalamazoo, MI. On May 10, 1958 he was united in marriage with Alice Jensen. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Dorothy Fay and Esther (Fay) Brundidge.
Ken attended Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. He served in the U.S. Army from 1948 to 1952. Ken ran the Hermitage Bar in Meehan, near Wis. Rapids, and worked at various lumber yards in Wis. Rapids, Owen, DeForest, and Windsor.
He is survived by his wife, Alice; his children, Steven (Sarah) Fay, Daniel Fay, Pamela Drury, Terry (Robin) Fay; 8 grandchildren; and a son, Michael (Kathy) Fay.
Ken’s family wants extend their thanks to the staff of Agrace HospiceCare for their compassion as they cared for Ken. A special thanks to Dr. Jeremy Cetnar at the U. W. Carbone Cancer Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, Sept. 7, 2012 at CHRIST LUTHERAN CHURCH, 220 S. Main St., De Forest with Rev. Jerry A. Olson and Rev. Charles O. Peterson officiating.
Visitation will be from 4-7 pm on Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, DeForest, and on Friday at the church from 10am until the time of service.
Memorials may be sent to Christ Lutheran Church, Habitat for Humanity, or the DeForest Area Community & Senior Center.
