Kelly enters final round of the AmFam Championship 2 shots back

MADISON, Wis. — Through 35 holes, Jerry Kelly had a bogey free scorecard and then he hit the 18th hole in the second round at the AmFam Championship.

A tee shot that when into a fairway bunker started a disastrous hole that ended in a double-bogey for the defending champ. After his round, Kelly summed up his finish on 18 saying, “I made a big mistake. That’s a bummer to finish on.”

Kelly enters the final round tied for third place at -8, two strokes off the lead. He tees off at 10:50 A.M. on Sunday.

Steve Stricker was hoping for a better performance in his second round, unfortunately for the Edgerton native it wasn’t the case. Stricker had an up-and-down 18 on Saturday and finished even par.

He’s tied for 23rd at -2. Stricker tees off at 9:40 A.M. on Sunday and has a simple game plan, to shoot low.

Miguel Angel Jiménez is the clubhouse leader after 36 holes at -10.
