Kathryn Kay Singer
Kathryn (Kay) Singer passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on November 6, after a long illness.
Kathryn Ann Gregus was born August 8, 1936 in Janesville, WI. She graduated from Janesville High School in 1955. She married Tryon L. Singer on June 25, 1965 in St. Louis, MO. They were married 40 years until his death. Kay was an active member of the Moose, the Marine Corps League and the Rock County Sheriff’s Reserve for many years. She took great comfort in her Catholic faith, and had been a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Janesville for several years.
Kay is survived by her children, Kimberly (Dave) Gourley, Thomas (Tina) Singer, and Kelly O’Brien. Grandchildren Shane (Melissa Miller) Gourley, Heather Gourley, Dalton Lubeck, TJ and Christopher Singer and Dylan, Sierra and McKenna O’Brien; and two great grandsons Mason and Brody Gourley. She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter Gregus and Miranda and Forrest Arnold, a brother George Keegan, a sister Mary Harris, and by her husband Tryon (Bud) Singer.
A Celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014 at 12:00 Noon at the SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY. Interment will be held at the Milton Lawns Memorial Park in Janesville, WI. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of service on Thursday, at the SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY.
