Kathleen T. “Katie” Hansen
MADISON-Kathleen T. “Katie” Hansen, age 84, of Madison passed away on Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, at her home. She was born on June 30, 1928, in Loretto, the daughter of Frank and Agnes (McMahan) Dwyer. Katie loved her Packers and gambling on the slots. She also loved the outdoors, fishing, and bowling. Katie was past President of VFW Women’s Auxiliary Post 1318.
Katie is survived by her children, Bryon Walker, Julie (Chuck) Lybek, Rose (Tom Seib) Walker; brother, Mike (Marie) Dwyer; sisters, Mary Alice Frey and Patricia Grumke; son-in-law, David Muldowney; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Jerome Walker and Harold Hansen; daughter, Sharon Muldowney; and son, Brett Walker.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Kathleen will be celebrated at ST. DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 505 Dempsey Rd., Madison, at 11 A.M. on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012. Burial will be at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Loretto. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, from 4 P.M. until 7 P.M. on Friday, Sept. 21, 2012. Memorials may be made in Katie’s name to the charity of the donor’s choice. Kathleen faced her death with courage surrounded by her loving family and secure in her faith. The family wishes to thank Agrace HospiceCare, especially Mickie and Terry, for their compassion and care.
