Kathleen Sue (Willoughby) Blum
Belleville, WI/Kathleen Sue (Willoughby) Blum, age 77, of Belleville passed shortly after celebrating her sixty first wedding anniversary on November 10, 2014.
She was born on May 1, 1937 in Madison, WI to her parents Lester and Clarice (Gander) Willoughby. Kathleen attended Belleville High School and on November 6, 1953 she was united in marriage to Darold Blum at her parent’s home. Kathleen was a homemaker and had also worked at the Swiss Colony, Oaktron, the State of Wisconsin, and at Borland’s in Belleville. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Belleville where she sang in the choir, and was part of the missionary team, and the ladies circle. She was also a member of the Eagle’s Club. Kathleen loved the outdoors and camping.
Kathleen is survived by her husband Darold of Belleville, WI, children Deb (Dick) Atkinson of Monroe, WI, Gene Blum of Monticello, WI, Gary (Barbara) Blum of Poynette, WI, Nate (Betsy) Blum of Belleville, WI, Larry Blum of Sun Prairie, WI and Kim Swanston of Monroe, WI. She is further survived by her nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, sisters Gloria Moyer of New Lisbon, WI and Ellen Tyree of Belleville, WI and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew Paul Moyer.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 14, 2014 at the Grace United Methodist Church, 246 W. Pearl St., Belleville, WI with George Kaminski officiating with burial in the Belleville Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI.
