Judge recuses herself from Wisconsin recount case
MADISON, Wis. — United States Western District Court Judge Barbara Crabb has recused herself from presiding over the Wisconsin recount lawsuit, according to an order filed Friday.
Crabb didn’t specify in her order why she was removing herself from the case; instead she cited a federal statute on reasons a judge should recuse oneself from a proceeding.
The case has been reassigned to Judge James Peterson. No court hearings have yet to be scheduled, but the plaintiffs in the case have asked for an emergency injunction to stop the recount.
