Jonathan Taylor named Big Ten’s RB of the Year
Four linemen get first team recognition
MADISON — Wisconsin Badgers running back Jonathan Taylor was named the Dayne-Ameche Big Ten Running Back of the Year and selected to the All Big Ten First Team Wednesday.
Taylor has rushed for 1,989 yards and 15 touchdowns so far this season.
The Badgers’ Michael Dieter was also named the Big Ten’s Offensive Lineman of the Year in addition to being selected to the all-conference first team.
Three other Badger offensive linemen were given first team honors in voting by the coaches and media.
Beau Benzschawel (coaches and media), Tyler Biadasz (coaches and media) and David Edwards (media only) were also selected to the first team.
Tight end Jake Ferguson and Kicker Rafael Gaglianone were honorable mention selections.
