Johnson Creek celebrates newly completed elementary school

JOHNSON CREEK, Wis. – Johnson Creek children will soon have a new place to learn.

The community cut the ribbon on a brand new elementary school Sunday.

The process to build the school dates back to the late ’90s, when Johnson Creek citizens supported buying land.

In 2014, construction on the school began.

The project drew statewide attention for its unique look.

The school is a series of domes, designed to be energy-efficient and cost-effective.

Officials said the community is also supporting a ‘One Team, One Dream’ campaign to fund the school’s athletic facilities.
