John F. Miller
FALL RIVER–John F. Miller age 63 passed away peacefully following complications associated with congestive heart failure on Saturday, March 25, 2017.
He was born on March 12, 1954 in Columbus the son of Bernard and Clarice (Gaumitz) Miller. He graduated from Fall River High School in 1972. John worked at John Deere in Horicon for 32 years, retiring in 2005.
Survivors include two daughters Lindsey (Justin) Hoffman of Owensville MO and Amanda (Jared) Meyer of Randolph; two grandchildren Joe and Grace Meyer; two sisters Ann (Charles) Berg of Fall River and Sue (Tom) Bengsch of Sun Prairie; two brothers Joel (Luanne) of Columbus and Jeff (Diane) of Fall River; mother of his daughters Colleen Miller; special friends Charmaine Schultz, Ken Lybeck, Dick and Joann Watters, Dennis Green and Dean Waterworth; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Besides having a great love for his daughters and grandkids, he loved farming and raising beef cattle for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, playing Euchre, cooking for friends at the Fall River feed mill and was an avid Packer and Badger fan.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at ST. PATRICK CATHOLIC CHURCH, Doylestown. Rev. Steve Kortendick and Rev. Robert Moberg will co-officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 29 at the Jensen funeral home, Columbus and from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at St. Patrick’s Church on Thursday.
Memorials may be made to St. Patrick’s Church, Faith Lutheran Church or the Fall River Rod and Gun Club.
