Joe W. “Butch” Zeimet

Madison/Evansville-Joe W. “Butch” Zeimet, age 61, passed away on Monday, June 9, 2014, with his family at his side.

After graduating from La Follette high school in 1970, Joe joined the US Navy and served aboard the USS Kittiwake. After he completed his service and was honorably discharged, he met the love of his life, Pam. He and Pam were married on April 29, 1978 and enjoyed 36 years together. Joe was the owner of JW Systems LLC, a business that he started, and poured his heart into. His business was a huge source of pride for him, and one that he devoted himself to. He also loved to be outdoors, bicycling and deep-sea fishing. He was a member of bowling and pool leagues, he was a coin collector, loved the Packers and Badgers, and computer gaming. Above all he was a hardworking and helpful man, with a terrific sense of humor who will be missed by all who knew him.

Joe is survived by his wife of 36 years, Pam; his sisters Judy (Gene) Engelke of Windsor, Janice Van Buren of Windsor, and Sandra (Jay) Fleck of Madison. He is further survived by nephew Adam Engelke and his family of Sun Prairie; the family of Gene L. Engelke Jr; brother-in-law Dan Bonner of Sun Prairie and his family, and many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Zeimet and Jean Doll; and his nephew Gene L. Engelke Jr.

Joe’s family wishes to extend their deepest thanks to the University of Wisconsin TLC South Unit for all the care and compassion they gave to Joe.
