Jim Meeker

Jim Meeker, 84, of Hub City, died Tuesday, November 22, 2022. He was born on January 10, 1938, in Richland Center the son of Thomas and Florence (Ferstl) Meeker. Jim worked as a mason for Kramer Brothers for over 40 years. Jim was united in marriage to Marilyn Sandmire on December 5, 1975. The couple owned and operated Jim and Marilyn’s Bar in Hub City from 1976 until 2010. Jim enjoyed fishing trips to Canada with his family and friends. He was an incredible pool player. Jim was a wonderful loving father, grandpa and great grandpa.

Jim is survived by his wife, Marilyn;eight children: Jimmy Meeker of Little Rock, AR, Mindy (Mike) Osburn of Little Rock, AR, Chad (Michelle) Meeker of Lone Rock, Sandi (Al) Matteson of Richland Center, Cindy Feltman of Ironton, Sue (Jim) Hulberg of Reedsburg, Sally (Scott) Gald of Richland Center, Scott (Kristen) Sterba of Richland Center; 20 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother: Thomas (Marge) Meeker of Minnesota; sister-in-law: Marian Meeker of Edgerton, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sister Lyle Meeker, Dennis (Jane) Meeker, and Dawn Carter.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at 12:00 PM at the Pratt Memorial Chapel. Burial will be held at St. Patrick’s Melanchthon Creek at a later date. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at the Pratt Memorial Chapel from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 12:00 PM. Lunch at Turbo’s in Hub City following the service. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with their arrangements.
