He was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother Jeffrey and Brother-in-Law Owen Hegge.

A life long member of Mt. Sterling Lutheran Church and a man of deep faith in God, he loved his family, his friends, his community, and spending time with his horses. Our family takes great comfort in knowing that others will be able to look to the future with hope because of our Dad’s courageous participation in cancer research.

Our gratitude to Drs. Bottner and Chalasani of Gundersen Medical Center for the tremendous care they have shown.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Mt. Sterling Lutheran Church, Seneca Veterans Memorial, or the American Cancer Society.

A Celebration of his life will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday August 13, 2014 at the Mt. Sterling Lutheran Church. Pastor Nile Sandeen will officiate with burial to follow in the Mt.
