Jerome “Jerry” P. Lucey, 79, of Cuba City, WI passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at home. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 2nd at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cuba City, WI, with Father David Flanagan officiating.

Burial with military honors accorded will be in the St. Rose Cemetery, Cuba City, WI. Friends may call from 3:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1st at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI and on Thursday, March 2nd from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Cuba City, WI is serving the family.

Jerry was born on November 30, 1937 to Daniel & Irene (Finley) Lucey in Prairie du Chien, WI. He married Lynette Manning on April 24, 1965 in Richland Center, WI. He worked for over 31 years for John Deere Dubuque Works in Dubuque, IA, the AMC Plant in Kenosha, WI making pacers and at the Tri State Music Company, where he repaired old juke boxes & pinball machines. He was a US Army veteran and a member of the VFW Post #8318 and American Legion Henry Pinch Post #104 of Cuba City, WI. Jerry enjoyed camping, hunting, vintage cars, an avid card player, the Green Bay Packers & Wisconsin Badgers, his grandchildren, but most of all, he enjoyed time spent with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jerry is survived by his children: Jerome “Tony” (Susan) Lucey of Cuba City, WI and Denise(Lucey)Ellefson of Platteville, WI; 5 Grandchildren: Anthony Jerome Lucey, Jeremy Lucey, Jacob Lucey, Toni Lynne (Ian Cappaert) Ellefson and Kailey Jeri Ellefson; 4 great-grandchildren: Peyton, Liam, Carter & Zaiden; 4 brothers: Michael Lucey, Phillip (Jan) Lucey, John (Cheryl) Lucey and Mark (Phyllis) Lucey; 3 sisters: Jean Curti, Mary Monahan and Rita (Lou) Kollmansberger; along with nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Lynette (May 17, 2014), 2 sisters: Margaret Mary Conrad & Sister Elizabeth Lucey and 2 brothers: Bernard Lucey & James Lucey.

In lieu of flowers a Jerome “Jerry” P. Lucey Memorial Fund has been established.
