Jennifer “Jeni” (Reich) Wheeler
MADISON, Wis. — Jennifer “Jeni” Wheeler (Reich), age 32, of Madison, passed away on Monday, Jan. 23, 2017. She was born on July 20, 1984, in Houston, Texas, the daughter of Charles and Kate (Herrick) Reich. Jeni graduated from Monona Grove High School in 2002. She worked in the insurance business at several places in the Madison area. Jeni loved being outside in nature, going for walks and hikes, participating in 5K run/walk events, photography and traveling. Jeni is survived by her parents, Charles and Kate Reich of Monona; daughter, Toni Reich; brother, David (Karissa Fletchall) of Baltimore, Md.; husband, Tyrone Wheeler; grandmother, Barbara Herrick of Grand Rapids, Mich.; aunts and uncles, Russ and Amy Venlos of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Christopher and Roberta Herrick of Yankton S.D., Diane and Norman Gilbert of Houston, Texas, Daniel and Pam Reich of Sacramento, Calif., and Jim and Adrienne Reich of Austin, Texas; her dog, CoCo; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, JoAnn and Gerald Reich; maternal grandfather, John Herrick; and uncle, Anthony “Tony” Herrick. A Celebration of Life will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 30, 2017. A private family burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the family for Toni’s education.
