Jennifer J. Lease
Jennifer Jean Lease, age 38, of Barneveld, WI died unexpectedly on March 11, 2017, at UW Hospital in Madison, WI as the result of a brain aneurysm.
Jen will continue her act of giving through her organ donations. Jennifer was born April 9, 1978 in Dodgeville, WI to Sydney Crook and James Lease. She graduated from the Barneveld High School class of 1996. She then attended UW Eau Claire before returning to Barneveld area to raise her family.
Jen’s passion while in school was basketball. She was on the first Barneveld team to win State. Now her son Malcolm and his team will be going to State this Friday. There will be no doubt Jen will be watching with a court side seat. She worked for Vortex in Middleton, and formerly at the Village of Mt. Horeb. Anyone who has known Jen knew that her life was her boys: Malcolm and Michael. She also found Mr. Right: Nic Owen.
She is further survived by her parents: Sydney (Scott Phillips) Crook and James (Angela Weaver) Lease; her sisters: Elizabeth Michelsen of Madison, Karen (Jason Cushman) Lease of Barneveld, Amanda (Chris) Flanagan of Barneveld, Sarah Lease of Madison, Pamela (Ryan) Clerkin of Barneveld, Tia Phillips of Barneveld, grandparents: Grace Larsen, Marjorie Lease and Doloris Crook; nieces and nephews: Jared Michelsen, Sheyna and Olivia Clerkin, Henry Cushman, and Charlotte Flanagan; and numerous aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her infant sister: Jessica Lynn Lease, grandparents: John Crook and Raymond Lease; her aunts: Laura Zander and Jean Lease.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at Life Church, 2770 Brandywein Trail, Mt. Horeb, WI with Pastor Robert Lee officiating. Inurnment will be at White Church Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be 3-7 PM on Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at the Life Church in Mt. Horeb, WI. FUNERAL LUNCH WILL BE AT THE BARNEVELD LUTHERAN CHURCH. SALADS AND DESSERTS ARE APPRECIATED if you want to bring something. The Barneveld church will be opened at 9:00 AM on Wednesday to receive any food.
Our family and community lost an amazing person. Her wit, sense of humor and big heart will be missed by everyone who knew her.
In lieu of flowers or plants, a memorial fund will be established in her children, Malcolm and Michael’s names.
The family would like to thank everyone in the community for the overwhelming support during a very difficult time.
