Jeffery Goodwin Dulin
Jeffrey Goodwin Dulin, 68, of Janesville, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 5, 2017, at Mercy Hospital surrounded by family and friends.
He was born in Madison, WI on June 1, 1948, the second son of the late Stanley S. Dulin and Gladys M. (Oyen) Dulin. Jeff graduated from Madison East High School and enlisted in the U.S. Army on May 22, 1967, serving in Vietnam as a member of the 1st Infantry Division, both as a Small Arms Repairman and as a UH-1 “Huey” helicopter Crew Chief and Door Gunner. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal and attained the rank of Staff Sergeant (E-6), going on to serve with the Wisconsin Army National Guard before retiring with over 20 years of service to his nation. He was an avid deer hunter, hunting the Necedah, WI property he shared with friends every fall, without fail, since 1973. A lifelong target shooter, he won numerous medals in the Badger State Games for Shotgun Shooting during the 80’s and 90’s. Jeff was briefly married to Sue Blanding of Janesville, during which time he welcomed a son and daughter.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents and older brother Roger. He is survived by his son, USAFR Maj. Art (Erin) Dulin of Colorado Springs, CO, and their children: Kaedyn, Brynn, Ellesyn, and Madilyn; as well as by his daughter, Anna (Andrew) Filipowski of Glen Ellyn, IL and their son, Wynnston.
A Celebration of Jeff’s life will be held at SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1800 E. Racine St. in Janesville, WI on Sunday, March 12, 2017. A visitation begins at 2:00 p.m. with service to follow at 3:00 p.m.
