MADISON – Jeanne A. Keeffe, a lifelong resident of Madison, died on Tuesday, July 17, 2012. She was 85. Jeanne was born on Aug. 8, 1926, in Madison, to Wayne A. Hepola, a high school teacher, and Leone E. (Dresen) Hepola. Her older brother, the late Wayne D. Hepola of Minneapolis, Minn., was married to the late Mary Gaukel of Sauk City. Her younger brother, James D. Hepola of Prairie du Sac, was married to the late Mabel Ballweg of Roxbury. A 1943 graduate of West High School, she attended the UW-Madison. She was married in 1946 to the late Robert H. Keeffe of Baraboo. Jeanne worked for many years as a salesperson for Dutchmaid, Inc of Ephrata, Pa., and worked with friends in Homestead, an estate-sale business. She enjoyed reading, playing the organ, swimming, and vacations at a family cabin in northern Minnesota. She and her husband were avid volunteers, and worked with Meals on Wheels, Luke House and St. Mary’s Hospital. She and her family were charter members of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish.

Jeanne is survived by her son, Patrick; daughter-in-law, Linda; grandsons, Nicholas and Justin of Huntington, N.Y.; sons, Paul and Thomas of Madison; daughter, Susan Kloosterboer; son-in-law, John; grandchildren, Michael of Minneapolis, Minn.; Megan of Boston, Mass., and Kayla of Middleton; and her daughter, Cynthia Keeffe; and son-in-law, Robert Goldstein of Lawrence, Kan.; and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5101 Schofield Road, Monona, at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, July 20, 2012. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. The family wishes to thank the loving staff at Oregon Manor, Ltd.
