Jeanine M. Coleman (nee Hokenstad)
Jeanine M. Coleman (nee Hokenstad), age 78, passed away peacefully at her home on October 15, 2012.
She was born on February 4, 1934 to Gordon and Aliene (Payne) Hokenstad. She graduated from Elroy high school and later married the love of her life, Daniel W. Coleman in August of 1953 and they enjoyed 30 years of marriage before his passing in 1982. She worked as a crossing guard while her kids were young, and later for Central Wisconsin Center for 27 years, retiring in 1996. She loved her Christmas shopping trips in November to Milwaukee and also going to watch Brewer games at County Stadium.
Jeanine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brother Hugh, sister Arlene, and grandson Jeremy Lee.
She is survived by her children David (Kay) Coleman, Roxanne (Bruce) Keldahl, Steve (Dawn) Coleman, Theresa Bell (Jerry DeMuth), Tracy (Richard) Clark; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren with two on the way; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 19, 2012 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jerry Kuhnke presiding. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 18 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home, and again on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Hauge cemetery in the Deerfield area.
