Jean Adams Jenson
Middleton – Jean Adams Jenson, age 97, passed away peacefully after a short illness on Sunday, July 29, 2012, at Attic Angels in Middleton. Jean was born February 11, 1915 in Eagle River, WI to Charles and Olive Adams.
Jean was one of six children and has one surviving sister, Jacqueline Morton of Peyson, AZ. Jean graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1937 with a degree in Music Education. She taught in Edgerton, WI, where she met and married George Underhill Jenson on July 15, 1939. George died in 1980.
Jean is also survived by two children: Steve Jenson (Connie) Oregon, WI and Jill Johnson (Stan) Milwaukee, WI. She was “Gram” to three grandchildren; Dana Jenson, Andrew Johnson and Heather Kudla and two great grandchildren; Marina and Peter Kudla.
She served as choir director at the United Church of Christ in Edgerton for many years. Besides music, she loved flowers, reading a good book, and animals of all kinds. She was recognized in Edgerton, walking her beloved Golden Retriever in all types of weather. Above all, she was a devoted wife and mother.
A special thank you to the caregivers at Attic Angels whose kind attention made Jean’s last years so much easier. A private memorial service will be held for Jean at a later date.
