Jean A. McLaughlin
JANESVILLE—Jean A. McLaughlin, age 86, of Janesville, died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Manor, Footville. She was born in Janesville on Oct. 19, 1926, the daughter of Donald and Crystal (Bobzien) McLaughlin and received her teaching degree from Milton College. Jean was a teacher for the School for the Visually Handicapped for many years. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and enjoyed attending Crossways Bible Camp near Wausau with her children. Jean loved music, gardening, feeding the birds and her animals.
She is survived by her 4 children: Linda McLaughlin of Janesville, Yim (Phillipe) Graner of Omaha, NE, Crystal McLaughlin and Bianca McLaughlin both of Janesville; 3 grandchildren: Alex Nicky, and Genevieve; a brother, Robert (Ellie) McLaughlin of Janesville; 2 nephews, Keith (Claudia) McLaughlin and Neil (Candy) McLaughlin both of Janesville; a niece, Sonja McLaughlin of Arkdale, WI; special friend, Nancy Smith of Janesville; numerous great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, Scott McLaughlin.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at ST. JOHN LUTHERAN CHURCH, Janesville, with Rev. Bond Haldeman officiating. Burial will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park. Visitation will take place on Friday from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of service at the church. Memorials may be made to the School for the Visually Handicapped.
