Janesville woman charged with hitting pedestrian while intoxicated, police say
JANESVILLE, Wis. — A Janesville woman was arrested Saturday morning after she hit a pedestrian while under the influence, police said.
Police said officers were called to the intersection of East Court and South Wisconsin streets on a report of a vehicle versus pedestrian crash around 2:48 a.m. Officers found a 56-year-old man lying unresponsive in the roadway with significant injuries, a news release said.
The man was taken to Mercy Hospital to be treated for his injuries, police said.
The driver, 46-year-old Michelle Kremske, of Janesville, failed a field sobriety test and was arrested, the release said. She faces a charge of causing injury by intoxicated use of a vehicle.
