The Rock Aqua Jays Water Ski Show Team is looking to be recognized by the Guinness World Record for building the largest human water water skiing pyramid formation.

At an event Saturday, the skiers got together with the Webfooters and Aquanuts to build the 80-person pyramid. According to a Facebook post, the world record is currently pending.

Mercury Marine helped provide the power to pull all 80 individuals.

The Rock Aqua Jays are 20-time National Champions who perform weekly water ski shows on the Rock River at Traxler Park.

The group will find out from Guinness within the next two weeks if they successfully made the new world record, a representative with the group told News 3.
