Janesville residents received postcards with incorrect polling location, city officials say

Janesville officials are asking residents to confirm their polling locations ahead of Tuesday’s primary election after incorrect polling locations were sent to voters.

City officials said they were made aware that some voters have received postcards issued by The Voting Project reminding individuals to vote, but some of those postcards continued incorrect polling locations for wards that have recently been moved, according to a release.

Voters whose polling locations have been changed have previously been notified of the new polling place by the city, but The Voter Project’s postcards were not issued by the city and do not reflect the change.

Voters who previously voted at Washington Elementary School will now vote at Faith Lutheran Church, according to the release. Voters who previously voted at Edison Middle School will now vote at the Rock County Job Center.

All voters are encouraged to check their polling location online.
