Janesville police find shell casings after reports of shots fired

JANESVILLE, Wis. — Janesville police officers found shell casings in the area of the 1500 block of Kellogg Avenue after reports of shots fired early Saturday morning.

Officers said they checked the area and met with the citizens that reported the incident. Witnesses said the shooting may have come from a vehicle.

The incident report said there was no one injured at the scene. Police checked area hospitals and found no one seeking medical treatment for related injuries.

Officers did not find any adjacent properties or vehicles struck by gunfire.

There is no suspect information at this time and the incident remains under investigation.
