Janesville police provide update on juvenile case

JANESVILLE, Wis. — Janesville police arrested three suspects early Sunday morning after they allegedly tried to lure a group of juveniles into their vehicle in mid March.

The arrests came as part of an investigation into a suspicious incident that happened on March 20.

Police said they located the suspects in the area near the Kwik Trip on East Memorial Drive around 12:55 a.m. Sunday. According to a news release, the suspects reportedly asked the juveniles if they wanted candy in an attempt to get them in the car.

The three suspects, 19-year-old Ethan A. Balkema, 21-year-old Makenzee L. Jacobson, and 27-year-old Michael J. Rice were arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct.
