Janesville man receives 5th OWI
Officer finds open intoxicants in car during a traffic stop
JANESVILLE, Wis. — A Janesville man was arrested after a traffic stop.
The arresting officer says 50-year-old Patrick W. Casey is charged with his fifth OWI, operating with a prohibited alcohol concentration, open intoxicants in a motor vehicle, possession of THC and operating after revocation.
The officer says he pulled Casey over at Rockport Road and South Pine Street in Janesville for expired registration on his Pontiac Sunbird. That’s when he says he noticed the smell of alcohol coming from the car.
The officer says Casey did not pass a standardized field sobriety test and blew a .16 during a breath test.
According to police, Casey will remain in custody at the Rock County Jail until his pending court appearance.
