Janesville man faces charges for fourth OWI
Warrants out for man for missing court dates
JANESVILLE, Wis. — A Janesville man is facing his fourth offense of operating a vehicle while intoxicated after he was observed weaving in traffic Monday night, according to Janesville police.
The incident happened just after 9:30 p.m. near the intersection of Center and Kellogg Avenue in Janesville.
According to police, officers quickly determined 58-year-old William Dixon was driving with a revoked license and smelled of intoxicants after he was pulled over.
Police said DOT records showed Dixon had three prior convictions, and had warrants out for his arrest from Janesville, Juneau County and Columbia County for court dates missed for other pending OWI arrests.
Dixon was arrested and will be taken to the Rock County Jail after being released from a detoxification facility.
