Janesville man arrested on suspicion of 4th OWI
JANESVILLE, Wis. — A Janesville man was arrested on suspicion of a fourth offense operating while intoxicated felony, according to the Janesville Police Department.
Dennis Brunner, 50, was found by Janesville police passed out at the wheel of his vehicle in front of a house at about 6:50 p.m., authorities said. Officers reported smelling intoxicants, and noticed Brunner’s slurred speech and bloodshot eyes.
Brunner attempted to exit his vehicle and began threatening the officers. He was taken to the Rock County Jail where he refused to do field sobriety tests. A breath test showed a .235 BAC. He also consented to a blood draw, officials said.
He was charged on suspicion of a fourth offense OWI, which is a felony in Wisconsin. Brunner was also charged with resisting an officer.
