Janesville house fire causes $115,000 in damage
JANESVILLE, Wis. — The Janesville Fire Department is investigating the cause of a house fire that caused $115,000 in damage early Wednesday morning.
Fire crews responded to a two-story single family home in the 200 block of S. Pontiac Dr. just after 4:30 a.m. Officials found the back of the home in flames, with fire extending into the attic.
Fire officials say the flames originated in the area of a propane gas grill located on the deck, which was used for cooking the previous night.
Crews were able to contain the fire in 15 minutes with no injuries to firefighters or the homeowners.
