Janesville fire causes $33,000 in damage; cause undetermined
JANESVILLE, Wis. — Three people were displaced after a fire in their Janesville home Saturday morning, the Janesville Fire Department said.
Firefighters responded to the home in the 200 block of South Pearl Street just before 9 a.m. for a report of a fire in the home’s living room. Firefighters found heavy smoke and fire showing from the home’s window and quickly brought ithe fire under control, the department said.
The home sustained extensive smoke and fire damage totaling $33,000, the department said.
All three of the home’s occupants made it out safely and are staying with family members. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, the department said.
