James Newell Bayne
James Newell Bayne, 79, of Sylvan Township, Richland County died Thursday, September 6, 2012 at his home. He was born August 23, 1923 the son of Emery and Eva (Luttig) Bayne in Richland Center. Jim farmed the family farm his entire life. He enjoyed ice fishing, fairs, and watching his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren in their 4-H activities.
Jim is survived by his two daughters, Lorraine Servais (Monty Berger) of Lone Rock, Ronda Marish (Mark Wirtz) of Richland Center, one son, Allen (Deedee) Bayne of Richland Center, 4 grandchildren Amy (Jamey) Gander of Richland Center, Chris Servais of Richland Center, Angela (John) Wallace of Oregon, Andrew Servais (Stephanie Ehlers) of DeForest, 5 great-grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, Jason (Heidi) Richardson of Madison, Eric (Jenn) Richardson of Bloomer, Aaron (Amber) Richardson of New Auburn, 4 step great-grandchildren, special friends, Viola Weeden of Highland and her family, and Jim Coy of Richland Center, 3 special cousins, Doris Armstrong of Janesville, Betty Higgins, and Millicent Byrd of Arkansas, many other relatives and friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and three special friends he called his brothers Loren McAfee, Charlie Hanally, and ‘Mud’ Shaw.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Pratt Memorial Chapel. Burial will be held at the Mount Tabor Cemetery at a later date. Friends may call at the Pratt Memorial Chapel on Friday, September 14, 2012 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Saturday, from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM. The family suggest memorials in Jim’s name be directed to GRACE. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service of Richland Center is assisting the family with their arrangements.
