James “Jim” Thomas Anderson
James T. Anderson, Verona, died at Agrace Hospice on December 24, 2014. Jim was born in Freeport Il on March 22, 1927 to Royal and Irene (Kennedy). He graduated from Freeport High School, and Michigan Tech, School of Forestry. Jim served in the US Navy in WWII and the Korean War.
Throughout his life, Jim enjoyed golf and was a stout Badger, Packer and White Sox fan.
Jim and his wife Judy were members of Edelweiss Golf Course in New Glarus and spent a lot of time with their friends and family until his Alzheimers became more sever.
Jim is survived by his wife Judy of 34 years; son James “Sham” Jr.; granddaughter, Lindsay (Joseph) Marlovits; great-granddaughters, Rhea, Olivia, and Norah.
He is further survived by Judy’s six Slattery children and six grandchildren who considered PopPop the ultimate cookie baker; and beloved family dog Bucky.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at ST. ANDREW CATHOLIC CHURCH, 301 N. Main Street, Verona with Fr. William Vernon officiating. A visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 9am until the time of service. Burial will follow the service at St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery.
Please no flowers, memorials to Alzheimer’s and Dementia Alliance, Agrace Hospice or St. Christopher Parish would be appreciated.
