James Edward Radloff
James Edward Radloff, age 70, of Janesville/Milton, passed away peacefully surrounded by his “girls” after a lengthy illness on Thursday, March 16, 2017.
He was born in Janesville on Feb. 16, 1947, the son of Marvin Edward and Mary Evelyn Veronica (Cheesbro) Radloff. He graduated from Janesville High School in 1965, and married Nancy Ann Schroeder on Oct. 22, 1988, on a pontoon boat on the Rock River. Jim had been employed by the Janesville Gazette for many years and retired from W.D. Hoard & Son Publishing Company, retiring in 2009. He enjoyed smoking cigars, hanging out with friends at Slick’s bar, boating, hunting and fishing.
Jim is survived by his wife, Nancy Radloff; 2 daughters, Jennifer (Doug) Fondriest of Janesville and their children, Mack Goth, Mitchell Goth and Sam Fondriest; and Jodi (Eric) Lathrop of Wentzville, MO and their daughter, Lily; 2 step sons, Mark (Tracy) Schroeder of Janesville and their children, Nicholas and Matthew Schroeder, and James (Tammy) Schroeder of Janesville and their children, James Schroeder, Jr. and Chelsey Revels; step daughter, Lisa (Todd) Gauger of Appleton and their children; mother of his children, Jeri Sullivan Torpy of Janesville; and 3 siblings: Raymond (Norma) Radloff of Florida, Annette (Richard) Vierck and Robert (Vera) Radloff both of Janesville. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 siblings, Ellen Radloff and Donald Radloff; and mother-in-law, Betty Hupe.
A Funeral Service will be held from 1:00 to 1:15 p.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2017, at SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, followed by a Celebration of Life until 4:00 p.m. at SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME. Memorials may be made to Agrace Hospice Care.
