James A. Olson
James A. Olson, 62, of Fort Atkinson, passed away Monday, December 22, 2014 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.
James was born on July 16, 1952 son of the late Kenneth and June (Miller) Olson. He married Mary Fornecker on April 14, 1978 in Fort Atkinson.
He worked for many years at Spacesaver Corporation as a welder. James appreciated the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. He had a deep love and devotion for his wife and children. James had a strong faith and attended Faith Community Church , volunteering in Awanas, Vacation Bible School, and other activities.
James is survived by his wife, Mary of Fort Atkinson; children, Melissa (fiancé John Maddock) Olson of Merced, CA, Kimberly Olson of Deerfield, Michelle Olson of Fort Atkinson and David Olson of Fresno, CA; grandchildren, Zachary, Josiah, Hanna, Samuel, Naomi, Kaitlynn, Rebekah and Kiara; brothers, Robert (Stephanie) Olson of Lake Mills and Allen (Anne) Olson of Fort Atkinson and sisters, Becky (Ted) Reeb of Whitewater and Susan (Wally) Laesch of Champaign, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Ronald Olson.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 29, 2014 at Faith Community Church in Fort Atkinson with Pastor Don Christianson officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at the Dunlap Memorial Home in Fort Atkinson and from 10 a.m. on Monday at the church until time of service. A private family burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
