Jake T. Adler
LODI-Jake T. Adler, age 17, of Lodi, passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2012. He was born on Sept. 22, 1994, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison, the son of Shelly Johnson and Thomas Adler.
He most recently attended Lodi High School. Jake had completed OSHA safety training and job skills training through OFS. He was working on returning to OFS for his training. Through Northwest Passage II, Jake discovered his love for photography, and was one of the first participants in the program. His plan was to travel to California when he turned 18 to become a music producer. Jake enjoyed sports, especially soccer, football, and skateboarding.
He is survived by his mother, Shelly Johnson; father, Thomas Adler; sister, Tiffany Adler; brother, Riley Monte; grandparents, Dodie (Jerry) Duerst, Judy Jorgensen, and Bill (LaVonne) Adler; aunts, Cherrie (Greg) Wales and Tracy (Richard) Lueder; uncles, Todd Adler and Gary (Jodi) Johnson; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, William R. Johnson; stepfather, Brian K. Monte; great-uncles; and great-grandparents.
Memorial services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 21, 2012. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from noon until the time of service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Summit Credit Union, C/O The Jake Adler Memorial Fund, 2424 Rimrock Road, Madison, WI. 53713.
