J.J. Watt donates $10,000 to HS student severely injured in football game
Houston-area student in coma after getting injured in playoff game
HOUSTON, Texas — J.J. Watt is stepping up to help a fellow high school football player who was severely injured in a football game over the weekend.
Fox Sports is reporting that Watt, who is out for the year due to a back injury, donated $10,000 to a GoFundMe page for Grant Milton this week.
Milton was severely injured in a playoff game November 26 in Waco, TX, and is presently in a coma at a Waco hospital.
Watt sent a message to the family with the donation. “If there’s anything that I can do to help, please let me know. Sending my best wishes to Grant and the entire Milton family.”
The Milton family has raised more than $78,000 to help them pay for housing and other expenses incurred by the family, since the hospital is 2 hours away from their home.
