Ivan A. Hehenberger
Ivan A. Hehenberger, age 92, died April 20, 2017 at Maplewood of Sauk Prairie. He was born on September 25, 1924 in Troy Township, the son of Adolf and Barbara (Guethlein) Hehenberger. Ivan was united in marriage to his one true love, Thonetta Steuber, on September 17, 1948.
Ivan was a hard-working farmer and passed his strong work ethic down to several generations. In his early years, he was a phenomenal softball pitcher. He also enjoyed bowling, hunting, and playing cards with a Leinenkugel’s and Swisher Sweets in hand.
Ivan is survived by his wife, Thonetta, their 5 daughters, Lynette (Dennis) Reuter, Loralyn (Mike) Hjerpe, Lorette (Jack) Kramer, Lorinda (Jack) Van Tassel, and Lyneen (Ron) Wright, 9 grandchildren, Season (Andy) Breunig, Michela (Chris) Hendricks, Danielle (David) Breunig, Matt Reuter, Jarret Van Tassel, Jacey (Chris) Wolff, Taylor Finn, Colin Finn and Andrea Wright, along with 7 great grandchildren, Becky, Riley, Ashton, Averee, Raelyn, Amaelle, and Caven.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Adolf and Barbara, brother Russell, in laws Harry and Marcella (Rothacker) Steuber, and sister in law, Dorothy (Steuber) Oetzman.
A visitation will be held from 9-11 on Monday, April 24, 2017 at First United Church of Christ, Sauk City followed by a funeral service with Pastor Bill Kapp officiating. Burial will be immediately following in the Honey Creek Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Maplewood of Sauk Prairie for the wonderful care he received this year and a special thank you to Dr. Krszjaniek for his medical care.
