‘It’s addicting to watch this team’: Packer fans back team through playoff win

GREEN BAY, Wis. – The energy and spirit at Lambeau Field are like no other – and that’s before a playoff win.

After the Packers beat the Seahawks 28-23, the atmosphere in the stadium was electric.

“I’m fricking excited!” longtime fan Justin Sterna said. “Go Pack! I’m thrilled.”

Sterna said this marks the 56th Packer game he’s attended, home and away, including the playoffs.

“It’s the fans. It’s the Packers. It’s the atmosphere. It’s the tailgating, the excitement, so many variables play a role,” he said. “It’s addicting to watch this team, and this season has been a prime example of it.”

On the other hand, it was Brian Kavenmeier’s first trip to the stadium.

“I love it,” Kavenmeier said. “It’s an awesome place to be, and a place I’d come back to.”

For many fans, the season has already exceeded expectations.

“To be quite frank, I expected maybe sneaking to the playoffs,” Sterna said.

Fans such as Katherine Crabtree said new head coach Matt LaFleur added a new energy to the team.

“LaFleur is in his rookie year as a coach. He exceeded any expectations,” Crabtree said. “We are thrilled. Go Pack Go. We are going to the Super Bowl.”

Before a Super Bowl trip, the Packers will have to beat the 49ers in California next week in the NFC Championship game.
