Iowa County woman killed after crashing into rock wall
CLYDE, Wis. — An Iowa County woman died Friday morning after she crashed into a rock wall at the intersection of State Highways 130 and 133.
According to the Iowa County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to the scene around 2:25 a.m. for a report of a single-vehicle crash.
When they arrived, crews found a vehicle resting against a rock wall with heavy front-end damage. The driver was originally reported to be unconscious.
Officials said the driver, 38-year-old Megan Engebretson of Avoca, was later pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash is still under investigation, but authorities said Engebretson crashed into the rock wall after failing to stop at a stop sign.
