Driver of semi killed after being rear-ended by another semi

A section of Interstate 94 near Menomonie has been reopened following a fatal crash.

The Wisconsin State Patrol said two semitrailers collided in the westbound lanes of I-94 about 11 p.m. Tuesday.

Troopers said one semitrailer rear-ended the other, causing a fire.

One driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver wasn’t seriously injured.

WEAU-TV said the crash shut down westbound I-94 for about five hours.
