Inmate released for interview declared AWOL, officials say
24-year-old serving probation sentenced for strangulation, intimidating victim
MADISON, Wis. — A 24-year-old inmate from the Dane County Jail was released for a job interview Monday, but has now been declared AWOL, according to a release.
Nicholas L. Enerson left the Public Safety Building at 8:45 a.m. for the job interview, officials said. Deputies confirmed he attended the interview, but he did not return to the jail at 12:20 p.m. as scheduled.
Enerson is serving a probation sentence for strangulation and intimidation of a victim, according to the release.
Officials ask anyone with information on his whereabouts to call 911.
