MADISON, Wis. – There’s a new woman and veteran-owned art studio on Madison’s east side that’s seeing a lot of buzz.

You can find the Wine & Design paint & sip studio on the first floor of the new Garver Point luxury apartment complex. They are holding their official grand opening this weekend after opening during the pandemic.

Heather Reed, the majority owner of the business, is also a veteran of the United States Navy and a new mom.

“My husband, Andy, and I had been preparing for the opening of our studio for months before the start of the pandemic,” explains Reed. “While we have been more than a little anxious and concerned about the timing of our opening, we can’t thank our customers more for the wonderful welcome that they have extended to us during this most challenging business environment. We held off on planning Grand Opening events last June, but are now ready to celebrate in a fun, safe way. I just want the Madison community to know that we love them and we need them!”

Wine & Design offers two-hour painting sessions for adults and children that are led by local artists who provide step-by-step instruction to first-time painters, aspiring artists, or self-proclaimed pros. By the end of each session, participants walk away with a completed work of art, as well as memories of participating in a shared experience with family or friends.

Heather says she’s proud to have many local partners. Wine & Design is an active supporter of Project ALS, and its studios frequently host fundraisers for local organizations and causes through its Paint It Forward community reinvestment division.
